Account Deletion

This page explains how to delete your NomNom account and the associated data. It is intended for users of the NomNom mobile application published on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
1. Delete your account from the app
The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the mobile application:
- Open the NomNom app and sign in to your account.
- Go to the "My account" tab (profile icon).
- Scroll down to the "Danger zone" section.
- Tap "Delete my account".
- Confirm the deletion by entering your password.
Deletion is immediate and irreversible. You will be signed out automatically.
2. Delete part of your data (without deleting your account)
You can request the deletion of some of your data while keeping your NomNom account and any active Premium subscription. Send a request to support@trynomnom.com with the subject "Partial data deletion request", from the email address associated with your account, specifying the category or categories to erase:
- Meal history and associated photographs (optionally for a specific date range)
- AI analysis results (scores, macros, detected ingredients, areas for improvement)
- Weight tracking
- AI coach conversations (Premium Coach plan)
- Dietary profile (goals, restrictions, preferences)
Deleted data is removed permanently and irreversibly. Your account, sign-in credentials and subscription remain unchanged. We process such requests within a maximum of 30 days, usually within 72 business hours. The retention periods described in section 5 (logs, invoices, backups) also apply to partial deletions.
3. Delete your account by email
If you no longer have access to the app (lost phone, uninstalled, etc.), you can request account deletion by email:
- Send your request to support@trynomnom.com
- Include the email address associated with your NomNom account in the subject or body
- Use the subject line: "Account deletion request"
To verify your identity and prevent fraudulent deletions, we may ask you to confirm the request from the email address associated with the account. We process all requests within a maximum of 30 days, and usually within 72 business hours.
4. Data deleted when you delete your account
When you delete your account, all of the following personal data is permanently erased from our servers:
- Account credentials (email address, hashed password, UUID identifier)
- Dietary profile (goals, restrictions, preferences)
- All your meal photographs stored on our object storage
- All AI analysis results (nutritional score, macros, detected ingredients, positives, areas for improvement)
- Meal history, statistics, streaks, and any weight tracking
- AI coach conversations (Premium Coach plan)
- Session tokens and JWT refresh tokens
- RevenueCat identifier link (subscription history data is anonymised or deleted in accordance with RevenueCat's own retention policy)
5. Data retained and retention period
For legal, accounting or security reasons, some data may be retained beyond account deletion:

Retained data is archived separately, is no longer used to provide the service, and is accessible only to authorised personnel.
6. Consequences of deletion
- Deletion is final: no restoration is possible once the request has been executed.
- If you have an active Premium subscription, deleting your NomNom account does not automatically cancel your subscription with Apple or Google. You must cancel it separately from your App Store or Google Play account settings. No pro-rata refund is issued for the unused portion of the subscription period.
- If you want to use NomNom again later, you will need to create a new account. Your previous history cannot be restored.
